The Huron Chiefs took the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Pioneer High School on Thursday. Huron was down 3-2 in the top of the seventh inning when Matt Williams doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Huron got on the board in the first inning when Ethan Webb drove in one when on a hard hit singled.

After the Chiefs scored one run in the top of the third, Pioneer answered with one of their own. Huron scored again when Chase Molnar singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. 

Thomas McSwain took the victory after Luke Coll's strong start. McSwain allowed zero hits and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking zero.  Luke Coll started the game for Chiefs and had a very solid outing.  Coll allowed four hits and three runs over five and a third innings, striking out 4 Pioneers.

Matt Williams led the Chiefs with two hits in three at bats.
