The Huron Chiefs defeated the Riverview Pirates 2-1 on a cold and rainy evening. The Huron pitchers allowed just three hits to Riverview.
The Chiefs got things started in the first inning when Ethan Webb singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Gavin Moczydlowsky pitched a solid game and was credited with the victory for Huron. The right hander went six and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out 11. Chase Molnar came in and threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen for the save.
