Huron Varsity baseball Grabs Lead in 5th inning to Defeat St. Mary Catholic Central.
Huron snagged a late lead and defeated SMCC 7-4 Wednesday. The game was tied at 3 with Huron batting in the top of the fifth when Ethan Webb singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Chase Molnar got the win for Huron. Molnar surrendered four runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out ten and walking zero.
The Chiefs totaled 9 hits in the game. Web and Cole Grunwald each had multiple hits for Huron.
Huron was sure handed in the field commiting zero errors.
