Huron Chiefs Grabs Lead in Seventh Inning to Defeat Grosse Ile
The Chiefs stole the lead late and defeated Grosse Ile 5-3 on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Huron batting in the top of the seventh when Scott Hinojosa's sac fly scored one run for the Chiefs.
Huron got things started in the first inning. Huron scored one run when Brent Wright singled.
In the top of the sixth inning, the Chiefs tied things up at three. Brendon Robins singled down third base scored one run for Huron.
After Huron scored one run in the top of the third, Grosse Ile answered with one of their own.
Chase Molnar led things off on the hill for Huron. He surrendered three runs on six hits over six innings, striking out four..
Ethan Federle, Isaac Yates, Wright,Robins, Matt Giles and Anthony Wroblewski each collected one hit to lead the Chiefs.
