- Huron Chiefs Takes Victory Over Woodhaven in Pitcher's Duel
- Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Tuesday, but the Huron Chiefs defeated Woodhaven 2-1. Logan Garland allowed just eight hits to Woodhaven.
- The Chiefs got on the board in the second inning. Scott Hinojosa started the second inning with a doubled off the left center field fence for the Chiefs. Then scored one run when Matt Giles singled. Matt recorded both RBI's while going 2 for 3 at the plate.
- Garland pitched the Chiefs Varsity to victory. He went seven innings, allowing one run on eight hits and striking out seven.
- Colin Schwartz took the loss for Woodhaven. He surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one.
- Giles went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Huron in hits.
- Avery Carnicom led Woodhaven with two hits in three at bats.
