Huron Chiefs Varsity Defeats Grosse Ile Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning
Huron Chiefs Varsity weathered a scare by Grosse Ile in the fourth inning where Huron Chiefs Varsity coughed up three runs, but Huron Chiefs Varsity still won 15-4 on Monday. Grosse Ile big bats were led by #26 Bammer, #9 Chittum, and #25 Riggs, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Huron Chiefs Varsity secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the third inning. Christian Dioszegi, Carlos Beltran, Brett McKay, Zach Taylor, Logan Russell, and Beltran each had RBIs in the big inning.
Vincent Wroblewski earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Huron Chiefs Varsity. He went six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out two.
