HURON WINS 6TH STRAIGHT LEAGUE TITLE.....

Despite being extremely short handed the Chiefs would not be defeated. With 6 bowlers out Huron did not miss a beat. Shooting a league high baker game 258 and series  470 they jumped on Airport 10-0 to start the match . Give Airport credit the didn't give up beating Huron 1056-955 to cut the lead to 11-8 with Garrett Russow 230 getting the lone point in game 1 for the Chiefs. Game 2 had the Huron jumping out to a big lead but again the Jets did not fold. It came down to the 10th frame and Hayden Williams threw 3 big strikes to start the 10th. Russow had another good game (200) but it came down to Ethan Steigerwald who was the anchor bowler. Needing a strike to shut out Airport the senior calmly stepped up and threw the best shot of the year to give the Chiefs a 957-949 win and the 17-13 match win. Andrew Herron bowled well under the pressure.  Huron won their  6th straight leaue title and 9th out of 11.  They also extended the unbeaten streak to 44.
