DRAKE BAZZY WINS , HURON BOWLERS DOMINATE...

Huron had a GREAT showing at the 2nd Annual Monroe County Invitational Tournament. This tournament host some of the areas finest bowlers from all divisions. There were 66 in the boys division and only 16 made match play. Of those 16 Huron had 8 boys qualify and Drake Bazzy dominated the field leading the tournament by 148 pins over teammate Zach Wyszynski  1041 - 893 with an impressive games of 279-226-257-279. Wyszynski shot 249-237-216-191 followed by Zach Taylor in 4th 212-213-219-211/855. Out of nowhere was Chase Kozlowicz 256-212-157-182/807 to qualify 7th.  Joey DeVita 171-178-192-226/767 and Logan Garland 149-212-171-234/766 we 10th and 11th respectively. Joe Crispin 188-159-181-226/754 qualified 15th. Brendan Hanson tied for 16th place and had a 1 game roll off against Wyatt Vogler / Airport. The game was extremely close with neither bowler leading by more than 8 pins until the 10th frame. Hamson needed 3 strikes to win by a pin and he came thru when on the last shot the 7 pin fell very slow for the win and he was mobbed by his teammates.

The quarter finals matched teammates against each other Bazzy defeated Hanson , Wyszykski defeated Crispin, Joey DeVita defeated Chase Kozlowicz.  Zach Taylor defeated Monroe's Kleb Pensleton and Logan Garland lost to Monoe's Caden Pillette. The final 4 was all Chiefs Bazzy, Taylor , Devita , Wyszynski and it did not disappoint . In a strike fest Bazzy defeated Taylor and Devita defeated Wyszynski setting up then finals  Bazzy defeated teammate and good friend DeVita but it did not come easy DeVita defeated him in game 1 259-248 but Drake beat Joey 221-157 to win the belt
