CHIEFS WIN WAYNE COUNTY INVITATIONAL......

Huron started the day out in record fashion shooting the 2nd highest score in the state for the year with an 1156. Zach Taylor 279 , Drake Bazzy 246 , Joey DeVita 227 Zach Wyszynski 215 and Sam Hughes 184 started the day off in a huge way. Huron lead qualifying the entire day. They followed the opening game of 1156 with 940 and 1074 and with a solid 4 baker games averaged 210 in route a tournament high 3998 leading Division 1 Livonia Churchill by 15 pins 3998-3973. Huron had 4 bowlers in the top 21 in scoring Taylor 700 (3rd) , Bazzy 686 (4th) DeVita 661 (13th) and Zach Wyszynski 632 (21st). Match play was no different #1 seed Huron took on #8  seed Wayne Memorial 391-369 in the Simi finals match Huron defeated the #5 see Livonia Franklin 405-366 and in the finals took on #2 seed Westland John Glenn. The Chiefs fell behind for the first time all day 177-195 but in the 2nd baker game of the finals shot 254 and at one point in the match had 7 strikes in a row.  The is Hurons 2nd win of the year and the send against mostly Div 1 competition. Anthony Wroblewski and Ryan Toth bowled well when called upon.
