The Huron Chiefs won the school's 2nd District Championship by defeating Trenton 1-0.  The Game was knotted 0-0 until the until the 66th minute when Maggie Warden and Rylie Cassette worked a great combination of passes back and forth with Rylie having an open shot from 8 yards away that found the back of the net for the only goal of the match.  It was Huron's first District Championship since 2011.  Amelia Strochine shined in net to preserve the shutout.  Layla Hamilton, Megan Scott, Lily Cholette, Olivia Manoa, and Callie Eaton played superb defense to keep the clean sheet.  Cecily Hughes was all over the field heading balls away from the defensive end.  Huron advances to the Regional portion of the state tournament and will face the winner of Garden City and Dearborn Divine Child.

Huron is now 11-5-3 for the season and will play again on Tuesday, June 7 at Divine Child at 7:00 pm.
