The Chiefs traveled to Riverview and came home with a 2-0 victory. The Chiefs jumped out to an early lead as Izzie Pritt found Ashley Christesen who fired a shot past the Riverview keeper for a 1-0 Huron advantage. Riverview nearly tied the game a few minutes later with a hard shot that Amelia Strochine pushed over the crossbar to keep the Pirates off the board. In the second half, Breeann Roupe added to the Chiefs lead as she bodied an Ashley Christesen corner kick across the goal line. The Huron defense of Callie Eaton, Megan Scott, Layla Hamilton, Olivia Manoa, and Cecily Hughes kept the Riverview attack off the board. Strochine earned the shutout.
the Chiefs are now 7-3-2 for the season and 5-1-2 in the Huron League. THe next action for the Chiefs is Monday when they host Grosse Ile at 6:00.
