AIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Chiefs ended their scoring woes as they beat Airport 8-0. Ava Genzel got the Chiefs rolling as she scored the first two Huron goal. She was assisted by Maggie Warden and Ashley Christesen. Christesen scored the next two Huron goals, assisted by Izzie Pritt and Olivia Manoa. Pritt got in on the scoring, netting her first of the night as she stole a ball and went unassisted at the net. Her second goal of the night came when she scored directly from a corner kick. Senior, Layla Hamilton not only scored her first goal of her soccer career, but also scored her second. She was assisted by Gia Dean and Pritt. It was an all around team effort tonight as the defense, along with Amelia Strochine kept a clean sheet.
The Chiefs are now 2-2-1 for the season and 1-0-1 in the Huron League. The Chiefs travel to Grosse Ile on Wednesday in a Huron League showdown.
