WOODHAVEN HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Lady Chiefs soccer team traveled to Woodhaven and battled to a 0-0 draw with the top team from the Downriver League. Both teams had chances with Woodhaven hitting the post twice and Huron missing a few shots just wide of the target. Defensively, Lily Cholette, Megan Scott, Layla Hamilton, and Bella Elliott had strong performances. Amelia Strochine earned her 6th shutout of the season. Ashley Christesen and Joanna Mentzer provided most of the Huron offense in the second half. The Chiefs are now 6-1-3 for the season and 5-1-1 in the Huron League. The next action for the Chiefs is Wednesday as they host Riverview at 5pm.
