CRESTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Huron Chiefs opened their 2021 season with a 1-0 victory over visiting Crestwood. Ashley Christesen scored the game winner midway through the first half as she stole a goal kick and placed the ball neatly past the Crestwood keeper. The Chiefs could not add to their lead despite multiple opportunities. Defensively, the Chiefs held Crestwood to very few shots. Amelia Strochine earned the shutout as Bella Elliott and Lily Chollette played well defensively. THe Chiefs are 1-0 for the season and travel to SMCC on Friday.
