The Lady Chiefs were invited to The Downriver Invitational and came home with the championship trophy.  The Chiefs opened with an 8-0 victory over Dearborn Fordson.  Melanie Skamiera led the team with four goals.  Frankie Hughes added a goal and 2 assists while Joanna Mentzer and Ava Genzel each had a goal and an assist.  Cecily Hughes added a single goal.  Ashley Christesen recorded 2 assists while Izzie Pritt and Alexa Yoder tallied single assists.  Amelia Strochine earned the shutout.

In the semi-final game, the Chiefs beat Southgate 3-0.  Skamiera put the Chiefs up 1-0 by converting a penalty kick.  Mentzer added the second goal from an Ainsley Beggs pass.  Skamiera netted the final tally from a Christesen feed. Strochine earned the shutout.

In the final, the Chiefs beat Wyandotte 2-0.  Skamiera netted the game winner just a minute into the contest.  She was assisted by Cecily Hughes.  Two minutes later Frankie Hughes scored from a Christesen pass.  The Chiefs took to a ball control game and Wyndaotte never posed a real threat in the game.  Strochine and Rachel Schick combined for the shutout.

Defenders Bella Elliott, Breanna Hanson, Layla Hamilton, Olivia Manoa, Joanna Mentzer, Ainsley Beggs, Grace Traster, and Marianna Gonzalez only let up a total of 3 shots for the tournament.

The Chiefs are now 7-2 for the season.
