FLAT ROCK COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Chiefs defended their part of the Huron River by defeating cross town rival, Flat Rock, 6-1. Melanie Skamiera put the Chiefs up 1-0 from a Breanna Hanson throw-in. Flat Rock scored to tie the game 1-1. Alex Lividini placed a ball past by the Ram keeper for a 2-1 half time lead. The Chiefs came out with more energy in the second half as Stephanie Yeager finished a pass from Skamiera for a 3-1 lead. The goal was Yeager's 76th career goal, setting a new record for career goals. Lividini neatly chipped the keeper to put the Chiefs up 4-1. Skamiera finished a pass from Paige Gondek for a 5-1 lead. Skamiera completed her hat trick by firing a pass from Ainsley Beggs into the back of the net. Monica Skamiera, Yzabella Elliott, and Breanna Hanson played well defensively for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs are now 13-3 overall and 10-2 in the Huron League.
