The Chiefs traveled to Riverview to open the Huron League season and came home with a 4-2 victory.  Melanie Skamiera opened the scoring in the 15th minute off a pass from Stephanie Yeager.  Skamiera returned the favor two minutes later as Yeager finished for a 2-0 Huron lead.  Riverview cut the lead in half, scoring off a corner kick.  The Chiefs were awarded a penalty kick and Yeager tucked it neatly in a the corner for a 3-1 advantage.  Early in the second half, Alex Lividini put the Chiefs up 4-1 as she finished a beautiful cross from Joanna Mentzer.  The relentless Pirates kept pressing and found the net from a penalty kick to make it a 4-2 final.  The Chiefs are 2-0 for the season and 1-0 in league action.  Monica Skamiera, Abby Grant, Aniella Ormanian, and Breanna Hanson played well defensively and Rachel Schick made a couple of key saves to protect the lead.
