Huron  traveled out to Plymouth this afternoon to play soccer on grass.  That’s correct grass.  Not grass like at SMCC but grass like the cornfields, like bouncy uneven mole trenches grass.  Huron was down a couple of starters but had some back up power from juniors Ryan Biller, Ryan Marvaso, Christian Summitt, Michael Masciovecchio and Holden Kropff.  Ian Petrick started scoring off with the first of his 5 from Marton Krajcz.  Matthew Hussey went solo with a pk just before Roman Pritt went upper 90 from Aidan Dolencic.  Johann Vasquez assisted Petrick on the next two and sent the game into half at 5-0.  Plymouth’s Eagles were a strong bunch and challenged the mighty Chiefs the whole way but fell short as Dolencic added one from Petrick then Jordan Stasak smashed a Vasquez corner to make it 7 goals.  Ian Ankenbauer handled the net with some nice saves and some picks out of the air to keep the Challengers to only 1 on the day.  Hussey and Stasak added assists for goal 8 and 9 both from Petrick.  The mighty Chiefs are right back in action tomorrow at Flat Rock for the kickoff of the Huron league.
