The lady chief golfers traveled to Sandy Creek to take on Huron League foes in the seasons first Jamboree. The Huron league now boasts of full compliment of teams that include Airport, Flat Rock, Grosse Ile, Riverview, Milan, Jefferson, and St. Mary Catholic Central.
The Chiefs had a great showing placing 3rd behind overall winners Grosse Ile and runner up Jefferson. The chiefs will start the season at 5 - 2. The Chiefs were led by sophomore Aj Skene who posted a 106, followed by Gia Dean with a 112, Myra Lazenby posted a 118, and Brooke Leporowski a 120. First time tournament players Ellah Bossick and Addison Bozynski showed signs that they will be factors going forward for the chiefs.
The chiefs get back at it next week with league matches vs Grosse Ile on 9/7 and Riverview on 9/9.
