The Lady Chiefs Varsity Golf Team traveled to Giant Oak Golf Club for the Monroe County Championships today.  The Lady Chiefs played some of their best golf of the season on a course with very fast and difficult greens posting a team score of 395 and finishing in 3rd Place overall.  

Leading the scoring for the Chiefs was Junior Andie Martin.  She posted an 87 for the round and was 3rd Place overall earning a medal for 1st Team All County.  Senior Sophia Straub carded the next best score for Huron with a personal best score of 97.  This was good enough to finish 13th overall and 1 shot out of earning a medal.  Great job!!  Senior Asia Riley continued her solid play with her personal best round on 105.  Senior Anna Puschmann added a solid score of 106 which rounded out the Lady Chiefs scoring.  Seniors Jill Chapp posted a 111 while battling illness and Hannah Arnett worked her way to a 113.   Great job ladies on a difficult course.

The Lady Chiefs will host their final Huron League match of the season on Tuesday, Oct 1 when they host they host Airport. at Willow Metropark Golf Course.  This will be a battle between 1st place Airport and 2nd place Huron.
