The Lady Chiefs Varsity Golf team traveled to Lilac Golf Club for the Huron League Championships. The Chiefs rebounded from a sluggish showing at the Monroe County Championships to win the Huron League Championship for the 3rd straight season.  The Lady Chiefs posted a team score of 362 to finish on top of the of the Huron League.  Airport finished in 2nd place with a team score of 385.  The Lady Chiefs finished a perfect 18-0 for the 3rd consecutive season.  

The Medalist for the Championships was Sophomore Kristen Reed from Airport carding a 78 for the Jets.  Sophomore Andie Martin led the way for the Chiefs posting a very nice score of 89, Senior Captain Sylvia Floyd finished just one shot off her pace carding a 90.  Senior Averey Potter played some inspired golf shooting a 91 and Senior Capitan Erin Bressler posted just one shot more at 92.  Sophomore Anna Puschmann posted a personal best score of 99 and Junior Jill Chapp added a 111.  

The Lady Chiefs had 5 players finish in the top 9 places in the Huron League and earned 1st Team All Huron League Honors.  Andie Martin finished 2nd overall, Sylvia Floyd finished in 3rd place, Averey Potter finished 4th overall, Erin Bressler finished in the 5th spot and Anna Puschmann finished in 9th place overall.  Congratulations ladies on your fine effort and earning league honors.

The Lady Chiefs Varsity team will travel to Pine View Golf Club to compete in the Regional Tournament and the first round of the MHSAA State Tournament on Thursday October 11.  Good Luck Lady Chiefs!!!  Work hard and play well!!!
