The Lady Chiefs Varsity and JV teams traveled to Pine View Golf Course to take on the Big Red from Milan today.  The Chiefs improved upon their Huron League record with a nice win over a much improved Milan team, 185-208.  Sophomore Andie Martin led the teams in scoring posting a nice round of 44.  Senior Averey Potter continued her steady play carding a 46 and Senior Sylvia Floyd posted a 47.  Senior Erin Bressler added a good score of 48 to round out the scoring for the Lady Chiefs.  Juniors Sophia Straub and Jillian Chapp shot very nice rounds 52 and 58 respectively.  Sophia has had a very strong start this season and Jillian is still working back into form after a foot injury earlier this season. 

Huron’s JV Girls Golf Team showed flashes of varsity material in their round at Pine View Golf Course in Ypsilanti, managing the Little Pine Golf Course very well.  Sophomore Anna Puschmann was low, shooting a 12 over par by having just 19 puts in her nine-hole round. Junior Bella DeVola also putted very well, including a stretch of five holes where she only had just 7 putts. First year golfer and fellow Junior Ava Horvath fine tuned her swing carding a par and two bogeys.

The Lady Chiefs continue their season on Sept 5 when they host Huron League foe Riverview at Willow Metro Park Golf Course.
