Sat. Oct. 26 – MHSAA Region 18-2
On the men's side, the Chiefs won their first-ever MHSAA Regional title, advancing the team to the State Finals next Saturday, November 2nd, at MIS. The last time they qualified a team was 45 years ago, in 1979. For the ladies, the Chiefs will be represented by two All-Regional runners on the MIS course. Congratulations to Kyle Biller, Cameron Crane, Luke Dulecki, Lucas Kuhn, Tanner Kuhn, Louie Macon, and Broderick Yensch on your team qualification, and to Avery Turk and Falyn Doss on your individual qualifications!
In the Girls D2 Varsity race, Avery Turk finished 4th with a personal best of 19:17.7, shaving two seconds off her own school record. Alongside her, Falyn Doss claimed 11th place (19:45.3), with both receiving medals, All-Region honors, and punching their ticket to MIS. Kayla Christesen was in next at 47th (22:24.4), followed by Lillian West 55th (23:04.5), Kirsten Perecki 59th (23:18.8), Alice Williams 61st (23:21.1 PR), and Isa Vargo 75th (25:43.2).

In the JV girls’ PROM race, Huron ended on a high note with four runners achieving personal records. Ellia Egle returned to competition, finishing 39th (23:39.9 PR). She was followed by Maiya Thomas 51st (24:20.2), Stella Mac 58th (24:36.4 PR), Ryan Cheney 75th (25:54.7 PR), Kylah Simpson 85th (27:00.5 PR).
