Tues. Oct. 1– Huron League Jamboree #2 @ Sterling State Park

The Chiefs faced a range of weather conditions during their race at Sterling State Park. The day started with warm temperatures, quickly turned cloudy, and ended in a downpour during the latter half of the boys' race, with cold rain persisting into the girls' race.

The Huron Girls Cross Country team had two runners in the top 14 at the second Huron League Jamboree with Avery Turk in 3^rd (19:53.3) and Kayla Christesen placing 10^th (21:24.9). Alice Williams went sub-24 for the first time this season, finishing 27^th (23:34.5 PR) out of 56 runners, Lillian West 34^th (24:35.6) with Kirsten Perecki on her heels in 35^th (24:35.6), and Isa Vargo 38^th (25:15.1). The Chiefs saw three additional personal records, including Stella Mac in 40^th (25:39.8 PR), Julia Welch in 46^th (26:45.9 PR), and Ryan Cheney in 50^th (28:56.0 PR). The girls' team moved to fourth place, surpassing Grosse Ile in team standings.
