Sat. Sept. 28 – Marauder Invitational @ Lake Erie Metropark

As Huron’s boys' varsity and JV cross country teams alternated weekends, the Marauder Invitational offered some runners an opportunity to gain extra varsity experience, while freshmen faced off against their peers. Personal records were falling as fast as the rain, with nearly every Huron runner setting new personal or season bests in the soggy conditions.

In the varsity race, Max Banas led the team, placing 38^th (20:35.4 PR) out of 79 runners, Cole Druyor was 44^th (20:59.1), Wyatt Seesnie 50^th (21:17.4 PR), followed closely by Oliver Scherz 51^st (21:18.8 PR), Garrett Patrick 56^th (21:47.1 PR), Ethan Brophy 59^th (22:02.9 PR), and Austin Shastal 60^th (22:04.9 SR).

In the Freshman JV Boys race, Liam Holdwick just missed out on a top-10 medal, finishing in 11^th (21:06.0 PR). Mason Kidd followed in 23^rd (22:18.0 PR), Johnny LaPointe 34^th (23:09.3 PR), Henry Broughton 37^th (23:47.2 PR).

In the JV race, Deegan Richardson led for the Chiefs in 95^th (23:14.7 SR) out of 135 runners, Joel Lazenby 99^th (23:37.5 PR), Graham Gamber 109^th (24:26.3 SR), Ian Carlile 110^th (24:28.3 SR), Jack Fisher 124^th (26:19.3 PR).
