Thurs. Oct. 20 – Huron League Championship @ Willow Metropark

Huron Cross Country took some time to honor our seniors and their parents at the Huron League Championship Meet. Senior yard signs were displayed coming into the third and final mile for some. Congratulations Class of 2022-23: Cara Bean, Griffin Mentzer, Ryan Morris, Breeann Roupe, Samuel Stanley, and Jacob Welch!

Huron Boys XC brings home the Huron League Championship Trophy for the first time since 1976! The Chiefs had five runners claim All-League Honors. Ryan Morris placed 5^th (16:51.4) and Griffin Mentzer 6^th (16:55.9 PR) earned medals for 1^st Team All-League. Abdul Ghennewa in 8^th (17:15.5), Lucas Kuhn 9^th (17:24.6), and Luke Dulecki 13^th (17:39.0) medaled as 2^nd Team All-League finishers. Kyler Biller 25^th (18:26. 3) and Samuel Stanley 27^th (18:30.5) round out Huron’s varsity crew. In the JV race, Huron had five runners place in the top ten with Evan Banas 4^th (19:47.3), Caiden Siggett 5^th (20:07.1), Jacob Welch 8^th (20:23.6), Lucas Worrell 9^th (20:27.4), and Roman Whitmore 10^th (20:44.5). Noah Myshock was close behind finishing 13^th (20:53.6 PR), followed by Cole Druyor 14^th (20:55.3 PR), Drew Blosser 18^th (21:39.4), Ben Holbrook 20^th (21:52.3), Broderick Yensch 24^th (22:16.7), Garrett Cheney 25^th (22:18.7), Hunter McMahan 26^th (22:41.6), Deegan Richardson 28^th (23:20.7), Hunter Szawara 30^th (23:37.5), Jack Fisher 33^rd (24:13.2 PR), Joel Lazenby 36^th (24:51.5 PR), Rocco Sells 37^th (25:01.1), Nathan Zakar 38^th (25:04.6).
