Huron Boys XC Claim Huron Leauge Championship Title

Thurs. Oct. 20 – Huron League Championship @ Willow Metropark

Huron Cross Country took some time to honor our seniors and their parents at the Huron League Championship Meet. Senior yard signs were displayed coming into the third and final mile for some. Congratulations Class of 2022-23: Cara Bean, Griffin Mentzer, Ryan Morris, Breeann Roupe, Samuel Stanley, and Jacob Welch!

Huron Boys XC brings home the Huron League Championship Trophy for the first time since 1976! The Chiefs had five runners claim All-League Honors. Ryan Morris placed 5th (16:51.4) and Griffin Mentzer 6th (16:55.9 PR) earned medals for 1st Team All-League. Abdul Ghennewa in 8th (17:15.5), Lucas Kuhn 9th (17:24.6), and Luke Dulecki 13th (17:39.0) medaled as 2nd Team All-League finishers. Kyler Biller 25th (18:26. 3) and Samuel Stanley 27th (18:30.5) round out Huron’s varsity crew. In the JV race, Huron had five runners place in the top ten with Evan Banas 4th (19:47.3), Caiden Siggett 5th (20:07.1), Jacob Welch 8th (20:23.6), Lucas Worrell 9th (20:27.4), and Roman Whitmore 10th (20:44.5). Noah Myshock was close behind finishing 13th (20:53.6 PR), followed by Cole Druyor 14th (20:55.3 PR), Drew Blosser 18th (21:39.4), Ben Holbrook 20th (21:52.3), Broderick Yensch 24th (22:16.7), Garrett Cheney 25th (22:18.7), Hunter McMahan 26th (22:41.6), Deegan Richardson 28th (23:20.7), Hunter Szawara 30th (23:37.5), Jack Fisher 33rd (24:13.2 PR), Joel Lazenby 36th (24:51.5 PR), Rocco Sells 37th (25:01.1), Nathan Zakar 38th (25:04.6).
