ST. MARY CATHOLIC CENTRAL: 49
First league game of the season and the Huron Varsity Girls came out strong against St. Mary's Catholic Central Monroe. Dominating much of the game through the third quarter. In the fourth quarter the girls began to run out of steam and the SMCC girls rallied for a comeback against the Chiefs taking the lead after a series of fouls which led to several free throw attempts. In the end the Huron Varsity Girls lost, 54-57 but definitely surprised the competition. We look forward to meeting them again later in the season, but until then we will continue to work hard to improve. Great game CHIEFS!
