WESTFIELD PREPARATORY HIGH SCHOOL: 75
The Huron Varsity Girls traveled to Redford to meet Westfield Preparatory High School Varsity Girls in a non-league challenge. This was a new experience for our Lady Chiefs as the Westfield Prep girls challenged the Chiefs in a game full of tempo and skilled shooting. Our girls fought hard to stay competitive, but a battle with 16 missed layups and number of in-and-out shots got the best of us. In the end we lost 53-75, but it was a great game and a great learning experience for our ladies. It was the first time in two years that they scored over 50 points so that is a positive take-a-way. We hope to continue being competitive and building relationships with teams like Westfield Prep in the coming years!
