Tough game for the Lady Chiefs as they took on the number 1 ranked team in the league. 
 

The energy in the first half was there for us. We worked hard and I saw some nice things. Defensively we disrupted their offensive strike but we couldn't get anything going. Starting the game off with 5 defensive stops followed by 5 turnovers..... it isn't going to win you many game, let alone ones against the elite teams. Turnovers, all around, killed us. Eventually, the game just slipped too far out of reach. The final score of 54-24 doesn't fully reflect our efforts. These kids faced a team with multiple players who can score from all areas. They have a defense that makes scoring tough. I thought our girls went out and fought. And to end the season in that fashion is hard but I think most walked away knowing they left all of them out there. I'm very proud of these kids for grinding out the season like they did.
