Tonight just was not our night. We have been plagued with injury and added illness on top this evening. It was a rough go for our Lady Chiefs who just couldn't get all the pieces to work together. Despite being physically run down, the girls gave their best effort. Riverview is a tough team to stay with as they shoot from anywhere and everywhere. We allowed 25 points to their PG last game and this time, we at least did a better job of making them share the ball. 

Our inside game was great, finishing cost us a couple baskets, but we definitely got the ball inside like we wanted. Faith Callahan and Anna Atherton dominated inside. Both leading us in scoring. Callahan with 12, who only played a half game due to illness. And Atherton ended with 9, but she stepped up huge this evening. I think Kelsey Trombley played one of her best games she has had. She is starting to understand so much and it has been so fun watching her grow. Her physical attributes she bring us in so many ways. Very proud of her. She also added 6 points to the mix. Thomas, Belair, Egler, and Balasz each added a basket. Thomas was also under the weather and although she didn't contribute on the scoring end, until she was pulled halfway through she lead us in rebounds and played a heck of a defensive game. 

It was a different kind of evening fighting through some adversity. But giving other kids opportunities to step up and fill roles helps define us long term. Proud of all the kids this evening even with the loss.
