SMCC went to Huron Friday night and only made 11 two point baskets in four quarters. But they hit 10 3point baskets to hang on and beat the Chiefs 60-54.  The game was a battle of which team would hit the most 3's. Huron was hot early sinking five 3's in the first 10 minutes to lead 15-12 at the end of the 1st quarter and 28-26 at the half. The 2nd half belonged to the 3 point shooters from SMCC. Josh Theisen hit 3 in the third to jump start the Falcons as they outscored the hosts 18-9 to take the lead for good.  Theisen lead SMCC in scoring with 14. Michael Laboe hit four 3's and scored 12. Cyrus Marks added 11 and Ethan Barno chipped in with 10. The difference in the game was SMCC hitting seven 3's in the 2nd half and we only made two.  Sophomore Micah Smith had a season high 19 to lead the Chiefs. Senior Cole Grunwald added 15 including three 3's and Junior Sam Farrugia scored 10.  Huron moves on to play at Milan on Tuesday night while SMCC travels to Monroe Jefferson.
