JEFFERSON MS/HS: 71
Monroe Jefferson hit 8 of their first 10 3 point shot attempts and continued their hot shooting for the duration of the game easily defeating the Huron Chiefs 71-50 on Tuesday night at New Boston. Senior Ryan Gennoe hit 4 of those 3's in the first quarter as the Bears almost doubled the Chiefs 26-14 at the end of the first quarter. Gennoe scored 19 of his game high 21 points as the Bears increased their lead to 42-26 at the half. Jefferson controlled the pace and tempo of the game from start to finish. Isaac Merkel added 16 and Lucas Leadingham scored 10 for Jefferson as they improved to 8-3 on the season. Junior Ethan Woolery was Huron's leading scorer with 13 as the Chiefs dropped to 1-11 overall. Huron won the Junior Varsity game. Tyler Ramsby and Josh Luciow both scored 10 points for the Chiefs.
