The Grosse ile Red Devils outscored the Huron Chiefs 24-6 in the 4th quarter to overcome a 16 point deficit in the 2nd half and hand Huron its 10th consecutive loss 63-57.  Huron raced out to a 23-10 lead to end the first quarter and still had a comfortable lead at the half 39-28. Senior forward Cole Grunwald  scored 12 of his game high 18 points to pace the Chiefs in the first half. Junior forward Josh Buettner gave Huron some valuable minutes in the 3rd scoring 6 of his season high 11 points as the Chiefs ended the 3rd with a 51-39 lead. We scored the first basket of the 4th to extend the lead to 14. But in the 4th, Grosse ile's constant pressure lead to one turnover after another by Huron. Every thing broke down, our defense gave the Devils 18 free throw attempts, we were out-rebounded, and out hustled.  Senior Guard Mike Madrigal and Junior Joe Molnar both scored 17 to lead the Red Devils.
