FLAT ROCK COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL: 56
Huron outscored Flat Rock in every quarter but a poor 2nd quarter was the difference as the Rams hung on to beat the Chiefs 56-54. Huron started the game on a 14-0 run, but Flat Rock then outscored the Chiefs 16-1 to take a lead that would remain close down to the final shot. Chad Sturgill put Huron up 54-53 with less than 20 seconds to go and on the ensuing possession, Caron Clayton banked in a 3 to put the Rams up by two with 9 seconds to go. After a timeout, the Chiefs went the length of the floor and missed a 3 at the buzzer. Caron Clayton led Flat Rock with 16 points, Eric Lakes scored 15, and Brant Mullins added 12. The Chiefs were paced by Senior Chad Sturgill who led all scorers with 17.
