JEFFERSON MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL: 51
Huron used balanced scoring to hang on and defeat Monroe Jefferson 58-51. Senior guard Chad Sturgill scored 16 points, had 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, junior Sal Marchionda added 13, and junior guard Zac Foster chipped in with 11 as Huron improved to 5-8. Jefferson also had 3 players in double figures; Sophomore Logan Tackett led the way with 14, Senior Grayson Friar scored 13 and Freshman Lucas Ledingham added 11. Jefferson came back from a 30-25 halftime deficit to twice take a 1 point lead in the 4th quarter only to come up short and fall to 0-14. "I thought Jefferson played well enough to beat us. They continue to get better under Coach Hand." The Junior Varsity game went to Huron 56-34, Cody Egler lead the Chiefs with 17.
