JEFFERSON MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL: 39
The Huron Chiefs won their second straight game with a hard fought 57-39 victory over the Jefferson Bears. Senior Chad Sturgill paced Huron with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. Austin Wyszynski added 14 points. Sophomore Jackson Barath scored 11 points for Jefferson and Freshman Lucas Ledingham tossed in 10 as Jefferson remained winless. "When you play defense you can always put yourself in a position to win. We were focused on making Jefferson work hard to score and trying to slow down Jackson Borath. Coach Hand has some good young players and they are only going to get better." Sean Friday tossed in 12 points as Huron's JV team won 39-31.
