We did a much better job this game getting attack the ball early. Sydney Ziegler stepped up and a hit a three run blast in the first. Those were big runs that we needed. Gave the kids a little bit of confidence and took some pressure off. Allowed them to work some at bats deeper into the count. I was extremely pleased with the defensive performance again. Faith Callahan hit a solo shot in the third that broke the momentum Detroit was trying to rally back with. Leah Stacy came in and helped solidify the win with relief pitching. Huron lady Chiefs took two must wins on the day. Putting us at 3-4. The goal was to finish out the week 4-4 and get back to .500 and they grinded the game out and put themselves in position to do so.
