• Huron Chiefs Varsity lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat to Riverview on Wednesday. The game was tied at six with Riverview batting in the top of the ninth when K Millhorn singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
• Faith Callahan collected four hits in defeat. Callahan singled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the sixth, and doubled in the ninth.
• In the first inning, Huron Chiefs Varsity got their offense started when Marissa Smith homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.
• Riverview evened things up at six in the top of the seventh inning. Mckenna Milhorn hit a solo homer.
• Riverview scored four runs in the third inning. Riverview's big inning was driven by doubles byMilhorn and Fiema and a groundout by Millhorn.
• Kerr earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Riverview. She lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.
• Gracie Brinkerhoff took the loss for Huron Chiefs Varsity. She surrendered nine runs on 12 hits over eight innings, striking out seven.
• Milhorn started the game for Riverview. She lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out four.
• Riverview tallied two home runs on the day. Milhorn had a four bagger in the seventh inning.Ross had a dinger in the seventh inning.
• Huron Chiefs Varsity tallied 11 hits. Callahan, Smith, Brinkerhoff, and Lexi Thomas each collected multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity. Callahan led Huron Chiefs Varsity with four hits in five at bats.
• Riverview tallied 12 hits in the game. Ross, Milhorn, and Millhorn each racked up multiple hits for Riverview. Ross went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Riverview in hits.

"We talked after the game that our "Good" moments are starting to really look good but our "bad" moments are still ending up really bad. This is a game of execution! Critical moments we need to understand situations better and start taking advantage of them. We are close. A lot of areas continuing to improve and quite honestly the key ones we are moving forward on. Very proud of how we played for about 8 Innings though, we did do some very nice things today. If things come together at the right time games like this we don't let slip through our fingers. Looking forward to the last month of this season."
