GAME ONE
HURON VS GARDEN CITY
13-3 Huron with the WIN
- Huron Chiefs Varsity blew out Garden City 13-3 on Saturday.
- Huron Chiefs Varsity notched five runs in the sixth inning. Gracie Brinkerhoff, Caroline Polites, Bethanie Perry, and Erin Bressler powered the big inning with RBIs.
- Brinkerhoff took the win for Huron Chiefs Varsity. She lasted four and a third innings, allowing nine hits and three runs while striking out six. Camille Gray threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
- Rudolph took the loss for Garden City. She lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs.
- Huron Chiefs Varsity smacked two home runs on the day. Polites went for the long ball in the second inning. Gray had a four bagger in the fourth inning.
- Huron Chiefs Varsity collected 15 hits on the day. Bressler, Polites, Perry, Faith Callahan, and Chelsea Hamilton each racked up multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity. Polites and Bressler each managed three hits to lead Huron Chiefs Varsity.
- Garden City collected nine hits. Boston and Gausden each collected multiple hits for Garden City.
"Great team win to start off our 3 game day. It was a nice bounce back effort and intestiy wise from our game two days prior. We felt good about the defesnive part of the game and obvioiusly our bats came in hot. That was nice to see, showed a lot of scrap from our girls to push through the funk they were in."

GAME TWO
HURON VS BELLEVILLE
Huron 6 Belleville 1
- Huron Chiefs Varsity was victorious over Belleville, 6-1
- Belleville got things started in the first inning when Hailey C tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
- In the top of the second inning, Huron Chiefs Varsity tied things up at one. Maddie Campbell drove in one when she singled.
- Huron Chiefs Varsity pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Marissa Smith hit a solo homer and Erin Bressler singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
- Camille Gray was the winning pitcher for Huron Chiefs Varsity. She went six innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out 11 and walking one. Gracie Brinkerhoff threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
- Kenzie took the loss for Belleville. She allowed 13 hits and six runs over seven innings.
- Huron Chiefs Varsity launched three home runs on the day. Faith Callahan had a four bagger in the fourth inning. Bethanie Perry had a dinger in the seventh inning. Smith had a homer in the third inning.
- Huron Chiefs Varsity tallied 13 hits on the day. Callahan and Bressler all managed multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity. Callahan went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Huron Chiefs Varsity in hits.

"It was nice to see the bats continue to roll. Base running we really ran ourselves out of some key opportunities to take a bigger lead, but they kept pushing, and did not let momentum ever get back to Belleville. Another great team win, making 2 on the day."

- Huron Chiefs Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-2 loss to Clinton HS on Saturday. Clinton HS scored on a double by Faur in the first inning, a double by Rothman in the second inning, and a groundout by Hernandez in the second inning.
- The pitching was strong on both sides. Clinton HS pitchers struck out seven, while Huron Chiefs Varsity sat down five.
- Clinton HS pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Rothman doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Hernandez grounded out, scoring one run.
- Hoffman earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Clinton HS. She lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out seven.
- Gracie Brinkerhoff took the loss for Huron Chiefs Varsity. She lasted six innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out five.
- Lexi Thomas, Brinkerhoff, Melanie Coak, Faith Callahan, Bethanie Perry, and Marissa Smith each collected one hit to lead Huron Chiefs Varsity.
- Faur went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Clinton HS in hits. Clinton HS was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Faur made the most plays with seven.

"Defensively we had a couple key errors that would have kept us from falling behind. We did a lot of really good things too though this game. Clinton is a great team and we played them tough. I think most importantly we learned from the mistakes and we are learning to make adjustments early and often, which brings a sense of maturity to this team. Moving forward the early adjustments are key to our success."
