• Huron Chiefs Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-3 loss to Riverview on Wednesday. Riverview scored on an error, an error, a single by Ross, and a single by Mckenna Milhorn in the second inning.
• Huron Chiefs Varsity lost despite out-hitting Riverview eight to six.
• Riverview pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for Riverview, an error scored one run for Riverview, Ross singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, and Milhorn singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
• Milhorn took the win for Riverview. She went seven innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking one.
• Camille Gray took the loss for Huron Chiefs Varsity. She allowed five hits and six runs over three innings, striking out three.
• Huron Chiefs Varsity totaled eight hits in the game. Gray and Lexi Thomas all managed multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity. Thomas and Gray each managed two hits to lead Huron Chiefs Varsity.

We played hard, put the ball in play all but 3 times. Out hit Riverview but defensively we are still finding our bearings a little bit. Feel confident moving forward though. Kids scrapped each inning in the box and im proud of them for that. We will get a more seasoned each game, and I think when we are fulling moving and firing on all cylinders its going to be fun to watch. We have a lot of work to do and a lot of areas of improvement but its a day by day process.
