Under the Lights Provided Intense Atmosphere but Lady Chiefs Lose the Lead Late

Huron Varsity Chiefs lost the lead late in a 6-4 defeat to Flat Rock on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Flat Rock batting in the bottom of the fifth when Addi Kopp hit a solo homer.
In the first inning, Huron Varsity Chiefs got their offense started when Emma Sic homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Flat Rock tied things up at three.
After Huron Varsity Chiefs scored one run in the top of the second, Flat Rock answered with one of their own. Huron Varsity Chiefs scored when an error scored one run for Huron Varsity Chiefs. Flat Rock then answered when an error scored one run for Flat Rock.

"What a great game to finish off the regular season. Despite the loss, the energy that surrounds this game each year is so much fun. The kids came out pumped and ready and honestly I thought they played hard the whole game. Our approach in the batters box seemed to change as the game went on and that will be an adjustment we have to make over these last two weeks. Emma with 3 RBI's on two home runs is really a nice piece but in order to have some depth we need more offensive output. Jackson with two hits, I think will snowball into something good as we finish up the season and Im confident the kids will do what is needed to make our district finale a lot of fun.
