RENTON IMPROVES TO 3-0 WITH 34-0 WIN....

The defense was tremendous  again in the win. Simpson won the toss and decided they wanted to test the Renton defense right off the get go. That was not a very wise decision after 2 tackles for a loss and an incomplete pass on 3rd down they decided to try a trick play that was snuffed out by the Chiefs. Renton took over on Simpsons 40 yard line when Caleb Hall ran hard and got the ball down to the Simpson 15 yard line where he ran it in from 15 yards to make it 6-0 . The combination of snapper ( Trent Ison) holder ( Cameron Kalpfleisch) and kicker ( Ian Petrick) made it 8-0 with Renton's 6th consecutive extra point kick. After another 3 and out drive by Simpson the Renton offense took over again. On this driver Noah Banas had a couple of nice runs on the jet sweep, Hall and Kalbfleisch running hard between the tackles got the ball down to the 8 yard line when Ison kept the ball on the read option to make the score 14-0 and with Petrick's extra point made it 16 -0 to end the 1st quarter.  On Simpson's next possession the front line of the defense ( Connor Forester , Zennon Grant , George Toma and Hall) put allot of pressure on the opponents QB that he forced a pass that was intercepted by Banas and returned 20 yards for the TD. His 2nd pick 6 of the year. and with Petrick's extra point made the score 24-0 at halftime.  Renton also had a safety in the 3rd quarter to make the score 26 - 0. The Chief's secondary of Aiden Sainato , Landon Hall , Nathan Matsos , and Jayden Lundy kept the Rams passing attack under control. Renton's final TD can on a 35 yard run by Caleb Hall his 2nd of the game and the extra point made it 34-0 .
