The Chiefs were the home team in their District semi-final at Trenton High School and defeated the Riverview Pirates 4-0.  Courtney Balazs knocked in the game winner as she fough through the Pirate defense and beat the Riverview keeper one on one.  She was assisted by Ashley Christesen.  Freshman, Maggie Warden juked 2 defenders and fired a shot that found nothing but net for a 2-0 Huron advantage.  Joanna Mentzer was credited with the assist.  Grace Traster's corner kick found the head of Cecily Hughes who directed the ball into the corner of the net for 3-0 Huron lead at the half.  Midway through the second half Mentzer put the final goal in from a nice Hughes pass.  Layla Hamilton, Bella Elliott, Megan Scott, and Lily Cholette played excellent defense in fron of Amelia Strochine, who earned her 9th shutout of the season.

The Chiefs run their record to 10-2-4 and will play Gibraltar Carlson in the District final on Wednesday at 7pm at Trenton High School.
