JEFFERSON MS/HS: 77
The Jefferson Bears won their third straight game by beating the Huron Chiefs 77-70 on Friday night. Jackson Barath single handedly lead the way by scoring 13 of Jefferson's 25 first quarter points and 30 of their 44 points at the half. The Bears lead at the half 44 to 39 but Huron outscored Jefferson 15 to 7 to take a 3 point lead into the 4th quarter. Jackson Barath broke a 69-69 tie with a bucket and Garret Thomas hit 3 big free throws to clinch the victory for the Bears. Barath ended up scoring 38 points and Senior Logan Tackett added 10. Huron was paced by Senior Chase Molnar with 20 points 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Junior Forward Cole Grunwald had a career high 17 points with 8 rebounds while Sophomore Center Rory Callahan chipped in with 11.
