The Lady Chiefs Varsity Golf team began the road to repeat as Huron League Champs today.  The Chiefs traveled to Sandy Creek Golf Club for the Monroe Invitational.  There was a tough field at this event with Huron League rivals Airport, Monroe County rivals Bedford, Carlson and Monroe and Regional foes Trenton all in attendance.  The Chiefs placed 7th out of 10 teams.

 Junior Andie Martin was on fire on the front nine shooting a great score of 39.  She finished 4th overall for the tournament posting a very solid 87 for the eighteen hole tournament.  Junior Anna Puschmann was very consistent  carding a 106 on her opening round.  Two Seniors, Hannah Arnett and Sophia Straub, shot solid rounds of 113 for the Chiefs and Senior Jillian Chapp rounded out the Lady Chiefs scoring  for the tournament with 122.  This was a great way to get back to the competitive level for the Lady Chiefs and tune up for the opening of the Huron League next Monday.   The Chiefs are back in action tomorrow at the Carlson Invitational at Lake Erie Metro Park Golf Course.
