Hard day for the Lady Chiefs. We were outmatched right from the get go. Defensively we just couldn't stop their shooters. Riverview does a great job at taking whats open and when you give them any breathing room they will launch. 21 points in the first half off of three pointers is tough to match and stay even with. We just could not bounce back. After the first it was a 20-8 ball game and at the half it was 41-17. Its hard to win a high school game giving up that many points in the first half. I have to give the team credit though, our second half we only allowed 26. And most of those kids were kids coming off the bench showing what they had. I think Anna Antherton had her best game thus far. She really stepped up and had some huge passes late. I though Lexi Thomas did a great job the second half controlling the game a little more. With Dimilia out with an injury, she had to take control, and did a nice job. Belair, Balasz, Polites, and Egler all came in the second half and gave their best efforts, which I was very pleased with. They brought a little more energy to the game than we had the first half, which was needed.
