It was a hot and humid way to start the 2018 cross country season at the 50^th Huron Invitational. Despite the heat the boy’s team gave their best effort taking 5^th place out of 14 teams. The team was led by Ryan Morris 10^th(12:30PR), Caiden Siggett 11^th(12:39) and Griffin Mentzer 12^th(12:46PR) who all received a medal for their top 25 finish. Garrett Cheney placed 46^th (14:56) out of 156, Nathan Zakar 54^th (15:16), Samuel Stanley 58^th (15:24), Liam Hilliker 59^th (15:24PR), Evan Banas 65^th (15:49), Rocco Sells 80^th (16:31), Zachary Taylor 90^th (16:58), Noah Myshock 92^nd (17:08), Jacob Welch 100^th (17:23PR), Kyle Biller 102^nd (17:32), Gavin O’Hara 113^th (18:27), Gavin Scannell 114^th (18:32), Lucas Worrell 120^th (19:24), and Hunter Swazara 123^rd (19:45).

            The Renton girls team gave a great effort and had an awesome start to the cross country season.  As team they placed 2^nd place out of 13 teams and earned a trophy.  The girls had five receive medals for their top 25 finish out of 138 runners: Abigail Murphy 5^th (13:10PR), Breeann Roupe 13^th (13:52), Gia Dean 14^th (13:52PR), Tiffany Burns 19^th (14:08PR), and Leah Emch 20^th (14:20). The other finishers, Madison Connor 30^th (15:16), Madeleine Furkus 31^st (15:21), Maggie Warden 33^rd (15:32) Elizabeth Anderson 37^th (15:46), Cara Bean 61^st (17:25), Olivia Feldpausch 73^rd (18:06), Hannah Gyolai 81^st (18:29), Natalie Carlile 97^th (20:00), and Mira Lazenby 111^th (21:56).
