AIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Lady Chiefs traveled to Airport and defeated a very defensive Jet's team 2-0. The Chiefs were unable to penetrate the 7 person defense and went into the half tied 0-0. The Chiefs came out in the second half and used some creativity to finally score the game winner six minutes into the half as Joanna Mentzer finished a pass from Aniela Ormanian. The Chiefs put the game away as Stephanie Yeager put back a rebound from a Mentzer shot for the 2-0 final. The defense of Abby Grant, Ormanian, Monica Skamiera and Breanna Hanson only allowed Rachel Schick to touch the ball one time for the shutout.
With the goal, Stephanie tied the school record for career goals. She is now tied with Kellsey Poston with 75 career goals.
The Chiefs are now 12-2 overall and 9-1 in the league with a big showdown against Grosse Ile on Wednesday.
