Huron Chiefs Falls to Trenton after Seventh inning Score in the First Game (6-5) of the Double Header But Bounced Back in the Second Game to Claim Victory Over Trenton (5-1).

The first game of the DH against Trenton was a heartbreaker for the Chiefs as they lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat. Trenton trailed 5-4 in the top of the seventh inning when they doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

Huron lost despite out-hitting Trenton 11-6

The Chiefs captured the lead in the second when Carlos Beltran singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs Trenton knotted the game up a four in the top of the fifth inning, on a single on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Steve Nowitzke got the start for Huron. He allowed three hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Jakob Scroggie and Beltran managed multiple hits for Huron.

Garret Dulecki was the winning pitcher for the Chief. He went 6 innings allowing one run on five hits and striking out five. Zach Taylor recorded the last three outs fo earn the save.

Jakob Scroggie went 3-4 at the plate to lead the offense in game two.
