Sat. Sept. 24 – Cadillac Invitational

Huron Cross Country made the trip up North to Cadillac once again this year for an overnight out-of-town competition. The weather was much improved from last year’s bitter cold conditions with sun and temperatures in the 60s during race times.

Huron Girls Cross Country brought home two medals with two PR’s. Avery Turk, running her first sub 20 of the season (19:42.1 PR), finished 9^th overall, not only earning a medal but a top 10 t-shirt as well. Falyn Doss placed 19^th with a PR of 20:37.0 moved from 18^th to 11^th on our All Time 5K leaderboard and earned a medal among the top 30. Kayla Christesen came in at 61^st (23:08.6), Cecilia Evans 81^st (24:42.4), Kirsten Perecki 89^th (27:04.5), Savanna Rupnow 91^st (28:24.4), Amelia Szawara 92^nd (28:46.0), Julia Welch 93^rd (28:53.4), Macy Bauman 94^th (28:55.7).
